I wish to give thanks the Indigenous communities - past, present, and future – who serve as current and historic stewards of the unceded land upon which I live and work and I acknowledge all the indigenous peoples and communities upon whose land I traverse in the course of my work. Specifically I honor the Wabanaki Alliance, which consists of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians, Mi’kmaq Nation, Penobscot Nation, and the Passamaquoddy Tribe including the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Motahkomikuk and the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Sipayik, upon whose ancestral lands I have made my home.
